Massage – Freedom Massage

Massage

You will create your massage with your massage therapist. They will ask you what you need, listen to what you need, and incorporate techniques you discuss before your session. If you already know the style you want, great!  You may experience more than one style in a session and you may change your mind once you arrive. The possibilities are endless.

The Freedom Massage will put you in another world. The Freedom Massage is a blend of many modalities. YOUR massage will develop depending on YOUR individual needs. It is a custom blend of Swedish, Deep-Tissue, Trigger Point, and Myofascial Techniques, all based on the client’s goals.
Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage. If this is your first time visiting us or you don’t get massages often, a Swedish massage is the best place to start. This type of massage uses the power of touch to move clients into a state of total relaxation. Your therapist will use light pressure, relaxing and nurturing touch.
Deep tissue massage is used to help relieve prolonged muscle tension in the body, it goes beneath the surface. Your therapist will use heavy pressure and deliberate movements. This type of massage is good for athletes, focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. Please note: We do NOT charge extra for Deep tissue.

Cancer takes a toll on you physically, mentally, and emotionally. Oncology massage at Freedom Massage can be a wonderful addition to your self-care routine both during and after your journey through cancer. Our oncology massage therapists Emily, Jennifer, and Molly have received specialized training regarding cancer and cancer treatments. It is better to choose a trained therapist who can tailor a safe massage session to your specific needs during any phase of your life with cancer, both during and after treatment.

We invite you to do more research on oncology massage and its benefits. A good starting place is the Society for Oncology Massage, www.S4OM.org. Freedom Massage is also a proud partner of Unite for Her, (www.uniteforher.org) a wonderful organization that works with women with breast cancer. When you are ready to schedule an oncology massage session we invite you to get in touch with us by emailing info@freedommassage.com or by calling 610-644-9003.

The first session consist of a detailed consultation. You will need to allow about 1.5/2hrs depending on the length of the consultation.

Pregnancy massage is for women who are at least 4 months pregnant. We only suggest and provide 60 minute Pregnancy massage. Receiving regular massages during pregnancy has been shown to lower anxiety, decrease leg and back pain, improve sleep and decrease levels of the stress hormones. Our therapists will take extra care to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed.
Our sessions are true to the time scheduled. Your massage time WILL NOT include filling out paperwork, an evaluation with the therapist, getting undressed or dressed. You will be massaged for the full time requested. You may want to compare our 45 minute session pricing to other establishments’ 60 minute session pricing. We do not charge by how long you are here, but how long you are on our table.
